Hashim I. Ahmadholds a B.Sc. Degree in Economics and MBA from Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto. He joined NDIC in 1994 as a Deputy Manager and he is currently Deputy Director in the Research Department. Prior to joining NDIC, Mr Ahmad worked with the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning in the Old Sokoto State.
Hashim worked in Bank Examination Department briefly before being redeployed to Research Department in 2012. Mr Ahmad was involved in a number of research projects both at individual and departmental levels, the outcome of which provided inputs to the NDIC’s Board and Management for policy and decision-making, and the banking industry. He is a member of the Editorial Board of the NDIC Quarterly Journal and had published articles on the Journal.
He currently represents the Corporation on the Financial Market Development Sub-Committee (FMDSC) of the FSRCC, Mobile Money Working Group of EfinA and Information Sharing Committee of the Federal Ministry of Finance.
